Dad’s Leadership Lessons from the Tennis Court
April 01, 2025
My View
I am fortunate that when I was young, my dad taught me the game of tennis. For 60 years, I have been chasing the elusive perfect game where I connect on all my first serves. My dad left teaching the skills such as the proper grip to coaches.
At the time, I did not realize it, but my dad taught me the most important part of the game, the rules and proper on-court sportsmanship. That was the part of the game he knew would help me become a better leader off the court. Three lessons endure to this stage in my career.
